Who Shouldn't Take This Course?

I've created this course to really push and test those who take it over the 8 weeks, it's a fun course but it doesn't mean that it isn't hard work.

This course isn't suited for:

✗ Artists who aren't open to learning from others, we all learn from each other on this course, you learn from me, I learn from you, you learn from your course mates, everyone has interesting things to contribute!

How It Works

This course lasts 8 weeks, is completely online, begins Monday 7th April and ideally requires a time commitment of around 5 hours a week

Each modules is roughly 2 - 3 hours, the homework will take you an hour, then an hour for the weekly Zoom feedback session!

All my courses have the same structure which has suited the most people over the past 4 years.

Monday the course module will go live, this is a prerecorded video with lessons, exercises and examples, that you can watch and rewatch at your own convenience.

Then we as a group will vote on the timings for the feedback session on Zoom, we vote each week to allow for the timings to suit as many people and timezones as possible.

You will work on the homework in your own time over the next couple days, then share it in the Slack group. We'll then go over it together on the Zoom and I will offer constructive feedback and answer any questions you may have.

The course is suuuuper flexible, and designed to fit around anyone's schedule as you can watch the modules and do your homework when is suitable for you. 

And if you can't attend the feedback Zooms then I will personally record you a video with your feedback and share it with you.

Exactly What We'll Cover

So I'm reeeeal excited about the way this course is crafted! 

I've been developing this for a while, thinking how best to create a course that doesn't just teach you how to draw like me, but really hone your own unique style and skills.

One that is actually actionable, a course where you'll be given information, examples, lots of exercises and ultimately, support and feedback.

So after a whole lot of thinking, I decided on the below structure for the course!

Over the 8 weeks we will cover a 2 topics each module. Every module will start with a series of exercises and lessons to help improve your drawing ability, then the second half will be how to craft better illustrations.

For example, the first part of week 1 we go through drawing guidelines and helpful tips, then the second we explore how you can add more diversity into your work through body types, ethnicities and ages.

Each Monday the video module will go live, a video that includes exercises, examples and information about that week's topic, this is available for you to watch in at your own convenience.

At the end of each module you will be set a brief for the homework, this is for you to complete in your own time over the next few days.

Then you submit your homework once completed and we'll go through it on the Zoom feedback meeting and come Monday we'll move onto the next topic!

The course is open to all skill levels, we do cover basic proportion and anatomy in the first module and all feedback is 
tailored to your specific skill level, so everyone's welcome!


How much time will I need to dedicate?
