Live Events are one of the most consistent and accessible income avenues for Fashion Illustrators right now, but that doesn't have to just mean illustrating for fashion brands!
Weddings are a huge opportunity for event illustrators, brand events can be inconsistent and seasonal, yet weddings are all year round, so I'd recommend every event illustrator to also offer weddings, as once you start promoting yourself as an event illustrator you're bound to get wedding enquiries also.
A lot of event illustrators focus solely on weddings and are booked up throughout the year, so it's not an avenue to dismiss!
Plus most branded events I've done, at least one person will come up to me grasping their phone wanting to get a drawing done of their wedding day rather than what they're wearing right now.
So bridal illustrations are going to pop up whether you work in weddings or not!
Also if you're open for commissions, the traditional present for a one year anniversary is paper, which many people use that as a reason to commission an illustration of their wedding day, so it's always good to know how to illustrate wedding dresses/bridal things!

Only messing, but for those who don't know I'm Scott W Mason, a London based Fashion Illustrator signed to Lipstick of London.
I've been live event illustrating for 12 years and a full time Fashion Illustrator for over 4 years.
I began doing creating courses 4 years ago, starting with a Business course, then an Illustration course, Portfolio, Drawing, Live Event, Career Course and now a Wedding one!

Over the 4 modules we will cover a variety of different topics, I've planned out the focuses I want to put in the course and there will be space for suggestions too.
Each Monday the video module will go live, a video that includes examples, information and exercises about that week's topic, this is to watch in your own time.
After that module is watched, you will be set a brief for the homework, this is for you to complete in your own time over the next few days.
Then we'll have group Zoom sessions during the week to go over the homework and answer any questions you may have.
Then come Monday we'll explore the next module!
